Virtual Stroke & Turn Certification and Re-Cert
January 13th
New England Swimming will be hosting a clinic for all individuals seeking to become a stroke and turn official with United States Swimming (and for those looking to recertify in the position) on Wednesday, January 18th at 7:00 pm via Zoom.
The clinic will be hosted by Bill Carline and will partially satisfy the certification requirements to become an official. The clinic will cover the process of becoming an official, the technical rules for observing the swimmers in the water along with jurisdiction and protocol.
Volunteer officials are crucial to successful swim meets and vital to ensuring the swimmers of New England Swimming have the best experience on deck and as well prepared as possible when competing at the highest levels within the LSC and beyond. No experience as a swimmer is required, there is no cost for attending and all are welcome.
Please encourage any and all of your parents to consider becoming a volunteer official for the benefit of your swimmers in particular and New England Swimming in general. If you, or one of your parents, have any questions please feel free to contact Ken Galica at [email protected] and thanks for supporting the New England LSC.
