Big meet this Saturday! Huge thanks to you!
This Saturday we are hosting the first-ever, sanctioned, New Hampshire YMCA District Championships. Many years of careful development have brought the Dolphins to this point. Our upward trajectory in performance and our outward cultural growth are returning the Dolphins to its glory days as a true contender in the New England swimming arena. We are currently ranked 11 out of the 68 YMCAs with competitive swim teams in New England. The 10 teams ranked above us have rosters with 2-4 times more swimmers. KYD is small and mighty!
Your efforts as volunteers, officials and supportive parents are making this happen. Your financial contributions this year have seriously improved our team’s capacity to host quality swim meets and further stamp our presence on the New England swimming scene. Only 6 other YMCA teams in the New England region have reached this level of development. They’re all much larger and operate out of truly urban cities.
The consistent high-quality coaching from Megan and John are clear factors launching us into this KYD renaissance. We’re thrilled with this team’s achievements. Our monthly coaches meetings see us giddy with our success and the possibilities of the future.
Our new blocks are arriving today.
We’ll be testing out our new timing system at today’s practice.
From the bottom and top of my heart,
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Coach Pedr
