    End of Season Meet Schedule

The Meet Schedule for March is going to be complicated.

First up, March 3rd, is the Connecticut Valley Invitational Meet at UVAC. A nice one-day meet for our VT/NH swim teams. This is for Duskys, Juniors & Seniors.

Next we have the Gold Championships at Exeter Academy and the 15-18 New England Championships at WPI scheduled for the same weekend, March 8, 9 & 10. This is tricky, but the qualifiers will decide where they want to go to compete.

March 16 & 17 the New Hampshire State Championships and the YMCA New England Championships are both scheduled, however, the NHSAs are only on Saturday. Y NEs are both Saturday and Sunday.

How are we going to do this? To begin, I’m disappointed with the diminished energy and organization of the YMCA New England meet. It almost didn’t happen this year. The Nashua YMCA swooped in at the last minute and made it happen. I’m speculating this annual championship meet will be in the doldrums for a while. We have some seniors for whom this meet is still special and important. It used to be a 4-day trials/finals event that took place over 4 days at the beautiful MIT pool. This year it’s two days of timed finals at WPI. So, we'll be taking a small contingent of 15-18s on Sunday, March 17 for the afternoon session at WPI.

We’ll take the Duskys, Juniors and Seniors to the NHSA Championships on Saturday, March 16.

This has all been updated in SwimTopia.

Reminder: the last day of the Spinners & Strypers program is February 29.
