    Mid-Season Update

We are at the midpoint of the 2024-25 season. The team performed well at the Winter Classic. We broke 4 team records and placed first in four events. 49 swims were top 10 finishes.

January and February will be busy. 7 meets over 8 weeks. Many more for the high schoolers.
    January 5—CVI at UVAC
    January 17-19—Bronze Champs at UVAC
January 25-26—YMCA District Champs at Goffstown
January 31-Feb 2—Silver Champs at UVAC
    February 8—Dual Meet vs. Bluefish
February 15—High School state champs at UNH
    February 23—Dual Meet vs. Dynamos

(There are some championship meets during February for those who qualify.)

The big show for this team will be the YMCA New England Championships on March 15 & 16. We will have the opportunity to see how we stack up against all of the YMCAs in New England. Our last showing at this meet with a full team of qualified swimmers was in 2019 when we placed 18th out of 70 teams. Currently we're ranked 15th. We are the smallest team by far in the Top 20. Are we excited about this? Heck yeah. Our team is all about quality; quality of training, quality of coaching and quality of character.

With the many scheduled days off in our holiday schedule it's crucial that swimmers attend the planned practices, December 23 & 27 and the following week, December 30, January 2 and January 3. Juniors and Seniors will definitely have practice Friday January 3 prior to our UVAC meet on Sunday January 5.

Maybe take a peek at our Calendar.

Snorkels are becoming essential training equipment. We'd like the Dusky group to acquire snorkels for the remainder of the season. Arena makes the best snorkels in our opinion.

We'll be hitting the bowling alley in the near future for some extracurricular team time.

There's a lot of gear on our team store. If you think we should add something let Coach Pedr know.

    Happy Holidays!
